Communities of practice and networks linking individuals and organisations are powerful ways of sharing knowledge and experience, and hence of learning. Skat participates in many communities of practice and networks in both the North and the South.

Skat is a learning organisation, eager to draw lessons from its experiences and to share these with others in the development community. In some networks Skat plays a coordinating role. Skat also supports the establishment of new networks.

The SWP brings together relevant Swiss stakeholders active in the international water sector to promote sustainable and equitable use and management of water resources and universal access to water and sanitation.
The Sustainable Sanitation Alliance (SuSanA) is an informal network of organisations who share a common vision on sustainable sanitation.
